DULUTH, Ga. – This week, Dinners on a Dime features local breakfast eats. Every Tuesday Where U Live chooses four favorite eats in your area for you to take your family and friends for a fabulous meal, under $20.

The Rexall Grill is a crowd pleaser. This restaurant is casual and most visitors come back for more. Rexall Grill serves southern food and many say it takes like “home cooked food”. The restaurant opens, pretty, early at 5:30 a.m. and they only accept cash, so be sure to have it. Come visit the restaurant at 3165 Buford Highway in Duluth.

This restaurant is described as offering “everything you could possibly want 24 hours a day”. The Georgia Diner is a classic, “greasy spoon” diner, located in Lawrenceville, which offers classic dinner breakfast, lunch and dinner. Most of the offerings are under $10 and they even use real eggs.

Last week my son and I went on our monthly date night and this time we popped into a new place called, Genghis Grill which is located at Mall of Georgia. I try to show my son how to treat a lady, so we hang out and try  new places to eat and we both agreed on this new restaurant that we had been eyeing for awhile now. Genghis Grill opened a few months ago after NY Pizza closed earlier this year.

We walked in and liked the atmosphere, and then we heard a bong. When your food is ready, they hit the bong to let you know. My son loved it; I was startled. In the rear of the restaurant you load up red bowls with protein (the meat of your choice), seasonings, veggies and sauces. First, load up your bowl with protein items that include chicken, ham, steak, pork, shrimp and more. Next, add seasonings. They offer cajun, cayenne, red pepper, ginger and so on. Then, choose your veggies, which range from corn, bamboo shoots, bok choy, cabbage and more.

ATLANTA -- Mimi's Cafe is sweetening Mother's Day with a complimentary Ghirardelli chocolate and caramel bar.

This treat will be offered to moms who dine at Mimi's after 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 8.

"Moms share memorable moments at Mimi's, whether it's a casual dinner with friends or festive occasion like Mother's Day. And that calls for an extra special treat," said Mimi Somerman, senior vice president of marketing for Mimi's Cafe.

The restaurant will have regular business hours on Mother's Day. Mimi's Cafe has two Metro Atlanta locations:

* Buford (1880 Mall of Georgia Boulevard, 30519)
* Dunwoody (1221 Ashford Crossing, 30346)

A minimum purchase of $10 per mom is required to receive the chocolate bar.
