Gwinnett County to hold special election
LAWRENCEVILLE – On Tuesday, March 15, Gwinnett County will hold their special election to elect a new chairman for the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners.
There are four candidates vying for this post, they are: former Gwinnett County administrator Charlotte Nash of Dacula, formal naval officer Larry Gause of Tucker, retired assistant chief of police Gerald Duane Kissel of Snellville and business owner Will Costa of Lilburn.
This election is being held in wake of the controversial resignation of former Chairman Charles Bannister and the indictment, and eventual resignation, of his replacement, Kevin Kenerly.
Bannister resigned to avoid a perjury charge upon a grand jury investigation of unlawful land deals but was eventually cleared of all charges.
