Gwinnett woman charged with shooting husband to death
GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. -- A 36-year-old woman is accused of shooting her estranged husband to death inside his Gwinnett County apartment.
Olivia Annette Smith has been charged with felony murder and aggravated assault in the death of 34-year-old Cory Smith.
Investigators responded to a domestic dispute call at around 9:15 p.m. Thursday at the Preston Hills at Mill Creek Apartments in the 2900 block of Buford Drive. They found Cory Smith inside his apartment. He was pronounced dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
Annette Smith was taken to Gwinnett County Police headquarters for questioning before her arrest. An investigation revealed the suspect and victim were arguing when Annette Smith produced a gun and shot Cory Smith.
