Gwinnett Becomes Camera Ready Certified

ATLANTA – (submitted by the Gwinett Chamber) On Monday, March 21, the State of Georgia officially announced camera-ready designations for over 70 local communities, including Gwinnett County. Gwinnett is now more equipped than ever to offer streamlined assistance to filmmakers and producers.

According to the Gwinnett Chamber, “Georgia Film, Music and Digital Entertainment launched Camera Ready in the October of 2010. The initiative provides special designation to participating communities interested in hosting film and television production projects. A certified camera ready community delivers helpful and timely resources to assist production companies in upcoming shoots and projects. Gwinnett Chamber Economic Development and the Gwinnett Convention and Visitors Bureau worked together to apply for and obtain the certification.”

Gwinnett has already seen several movies filmed on location including Due Date, For Colored Girls, Hall Pass, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Road Trip and its latest, Wanderlust. Information about the initiative, pre-approved Gwinnett locations and more can be found at gwinnettentertainment.org.
